Salutations world! The site is finally up!
The site was on hiatus completely due to economic factors, but thankfully a buddy of mine and I decided to split the bill. As a result, I will be cohosting circuit grizzly and the new Sioux City Kid homepage.
But wait- theres even more good news! I recently recorded a brand new 25 min noise EP and am currently in the process of mastering it. Let it be known that all sounds were generated from a brand new 'destructively modified' yamaha keyboard; Expect many more details soon!

Sweet Zombie Jesus! We recorded my hound Porter playing a circuit bent Casio keyboard and tossed the video up on youtube. To our surpise, my little noise hound cashed in on over 23,000 hits in only 3 days! You can click Porter to watch the video above (18mb) or follow this to the youtube page .

Sorry about the delay, but the newest noisecast is finally up online- Check it out it's really slick. NoiseCast keeps getting better and better every week. I also started a new noise box, this time based off of CMOS Digital logic chips. So far it makes some grand noise but theres so much more work to perform it wont be finished for a bit.

Well... As many might have discovered already, upon the macromedia flash update to version 10 numerous flash applications across the web have gone down, pissing many devolpers off; because of this terrible turn of events, the audio player no longer is running and i'm working on a replacement. I know how much this will dissapoint my audience so i went out of my way and designed a cliche little circuit grizzly themed desktop image to help you fight back the tears. Added bonus: Finally, an output page!

2.12.09
Added the noisecast page, you'll be able to download each session or stream the audio directly from the webpage with a simple little flash application. If it doesn't work, bummer! Also, because of the confusing clutter, I renamed the 'noise' page to 'audio'... not really my preference, but it helps keep the menu a bit cleaner.

Some interesting news: My university program made a HUGE mistake and gave me an online radio show; terrible desicion for them, but an amazingly chill oppertunity for me. NoiseCast will aire every thursday @ 2 pm for the next couple weeks and will be broadcasting the fuzzy bussiness of harsh electronics and ciruitbent gizmos on KSFS Radio. Hopefully in the next coming days I'll have NoiseCast set up for podcasting which might be pretty slick. Until then, you can download my first set here in lossy MP3 format.

Tracks: Government Alpha, Merzbow, Kieren Hebden & Steve Reid, the Boredoms, Chief Grand Cherokee, Fridge, Jan Jelinek, Matmos, Nobukaza Takemura, Oval, many others, and my own recordings.

Ok folks, yokles, and fans of old skool nostalgia. Heres my xmas gift to all you electronuts out there: an awesome 8 bit nintendo tape mix. This lofi-mix is to be recorded onto both sides of a 90 minute tape so you can listen to it in your walk man but, believe it or not, can be enjoyed in it's orginal mp3 format. Here ya go!

12.21.08
Added yet another track to the noise section- 00100100 (still debating the title) is another awesome work to add to library. Soon I'll have enough to drop another psuedo-album focused on "Noise-hop", a genre me and few others are pioneering. I suggest you check it out. ....And I changed up the noise player and added song art- so whenever you click on a track it will display some art. Not much but, hey why not. Plus the new WSG box is coming along nicely, I added 6 body contacts tonight and will soon be intergrating an atari punk console into it. I will soon be hosting an 8 bit nintendo mix as a totally retro xmas gift to the world. Just wait.

12.19.08
Added a couple more audio files to the noise player you should check out.. Dusty Cartridge is a slick low drone beat with a handfull of over noisy over tones - most of the nonsense was recorded with one of my boxes. Father Megabyte is an epic noise track splashed with various drum rhythms here and there. Also tossed up a few more choice selections from the DotOgg recording sessions Jon G and I had a few years back. Finally, a short but awesome simple little experimental ditty off calandjon's sophmore El Bado album which was a collection of over fifty horrific out takes. In other more technical news, the construction of another WSG noise box was started yesterday.

12.15.08
More site construction, added more mp3s in the noise player (some awesome early improvisations that became the birth of Chief Grand Cherokee). Also working on the circuit bending page, getting that all taken care of. Been pretty busy between going to court and finals week, but the site is slow coming together and i really like it so far.

I went with my audio class to the San Francisco Audium last night- wow, life changing. What an amazing place. An experimental sound auditorium that show cases the most amazing stereophonic surround sound i've ever heard. I highly suggest if you have the chance to check the place out. Incredable.

Throwing together the new layout of the website, it's not online yet, but it looks like a much nicer improvement over the old brown and yellow scheme. Plus im ditching the frames. Been doing frames my whole like and now im over em. Also, how'd you like that cool drone intro huh? It's a short except of a new track i'm working on that i'll have posted here soon enough once it's completed.

Whew, finally an update.  Been doin a lot of crazy modular work lately.  I whipped up a crazy new noise duo, two boxes that push the verge of my circuit bending abilities.  Needless to say im very proud of my crazy new combo.
Also, schemming up a new noise group, Cheif Grand Cherokee has created mega fatty noise for years now and we're considering pushing our collective talents into another sonic dimension, when things get sorted out and cemented I'll post all the juicy tidbits here.  Soon to come, The Voltage Control Trio or Control Voltage Collective.  Or maybe something else.  Seems our aim will be pure homemade sound, with all noise sources from hand built boxes.

Well, hate to say, but my computer died. So expect much fewer updates to the site. Mega Lame. But some good news, cranked out some more boxes which look very very slick. Me and jon also started making a box which will feature 3 leds, dual photosensors, a ton of switches and buttons, and body contacts. So far its very chill, i'd try to put up some pictures but im actually updating the site while on the clock at work and dont have access to em'. Another thing, adopted myself a hound pup the other day. In reaction, im probably going to build the little guy an LED battle armor set. heh heh

Been workin a new job lately, it's aight. But check it, got me a new drill and some dank PCBs and i'm going to get started on crankin' out some more noise boxes. The drill i got is 100x times better than the cheap chinese one i bought for 30 buh, it can drill a hole in like 2 seconds vs 10 mins. This round is going to have a built in photocell, to kinda do theramin fxs, not really to amazing but a nice new feature. It will be hooked up to a rotory switch to access different things you can affect with the LDR.
Also, heres one for ya: Me and jon were building another atari punk box at work and didnt really end up getting it working. But a crazy thing happened, jon touched the pc board we were working on and this yellow LED we had hooked up to it ended up sparking, blowing up, and smoking. It was by far the coolest thing that happened that day. How in the crap did we blow up an LED just by touching the board?

4.19.08
Pulled an all nighter and built an atari punk box with jon using a 556 ic chip in an interesting way. As time ran short at aproximately 7 am, we rushed to house the thing in an orange juice container. Pretty funny stuff, hopefully going to get some picts when i get a chance (who knows, jon ran off with it) Small updates here and there, more shots of the Nirvana Keytar, and a new one i'm working on in the mod section. Also, my drill fried it self today, so it may be a second before i start making boxes again. Burn.
Also found Frank Zappa's Waka/Jawaka on vinyl, score!

4.14.08
Started work on a 3rd box, taking requests. This one will have a custom circuit board made from perf board. Should be picking up more parts today from the post office. Lots of work still to be done here on the site, updated the bends section with pitcures. more bends to come!

4.13.08
Got the web site online at a free host, finished my 2nd noise modual, turned out very cool and spiffy- looks great and sounds awesome!

4.11.08
After the successfull completion of my first home made DIY noise-box, i've decided to ride the tidal wave of success and build up another web page for myself for my electronic hobbies. This will be good: finally a spot on-line for all my audio noise, visual what nots, electronic craziness, and other bits.
